About Me

My name is Cactar and this is my personal website. I currently live in the South Central region of the United States.

I’m a relatively new developer that mostly works in C, Golang and Java(exclusively for minecraft modding).

I’ve done a little bit of Suckless programming. I created my own modified singular border patch for DWM and currently working on a border patch for QubesOS.

Working on a low level has been really fun, I’ve really enjoy working with actual bits/bytes and all of the cool tricks you can do with pointers.

I hop between OpenBSD, QubesOS and Arch quite frequently. I really like the file structure, documentation and hardening that OpenBSD has to offer.

Pledge and Unveil are way more intuitive to use compared to Linux’s seccomp but it’s extremely hard to beat the containerization that Qubes offers.
